My Early June Garden; Link up

This week, my husband took two pictures of one of my gardens and seamed them together to make one. If you click on the image above, you will see a larger version of the picture. Purple is still prominent in the garden this week.

My Siberian Iris have started to bloom. I have four varieties but one is a slightly later bloomer and isn't in bloom yet.

This variety (Shaker's Prayer) is the happiest in my garden. The clump has gotten quite large and is ready to split this year after it is done blooming. I plan to spread it throughout the garden.

This blue iris has to be one of my favorites. I look forward to seeing it every year.

I took this picture to prove that not everything is purple at the moment. I also have a bit of pink and yellow here and there with more to come!

Last but not least, there are many bushes blooming now including the rhododendrons and azaleas and this Korean Lilac.

Do you have some garden pictures to share from this week? If so link up below! You must click on the link below in order to view the list as my blog won't run scripts.

  2. I would love to link up, but my poor garden is not looking good. I guess that's what happens when you only get 2 inches of rain since January. (Seriously doubting fireworks will even happen for the 4th of July down in Houston)

Love looking at your garden, it just makes me sad about mine at the same time.

  3. I love the blue iris - and I have just linked mine up, too. Sorry it's a bit late - I was a bit exhausted last night and words failed me!

  4. How beautiful & inspirational! My "garden" is still in the works. I'm planting a perennial garden {smallish - - 3' x 5'} at the front of the house and trying to clean an area in the back for a "real" garden next year.

Love your flowers! Do I see "gayfeathers" in there - - I bought some for my yard! :)

  5. Have tried to link but photo size not acceptable and I have no idea how to resize it. Everything I have tried has not worked.
I can do what Pomona has done and link to your blog but do not know how to link mine in.

  6. Oh my gosh Amy your garden looks so fantastic! Such a cool panoramic shot at the top. Your irises are so pretty, I'm quite jealous. A friend gave me some roots a couple years ago and they were finally going to bloom (I was excited) but then the Wicked Wind from the West blew in the other day and trampled them all. :( So I'm going to have to build some sort of pretty barrier to stop this from happening every year.

I want that obelisk! Did you guys build it? So great!

  9. LOVE the purples in your garden! It's funny...I'm not fond of purple in the fabric world, but love it in the garden!
